How Honourees Are
Selected
Candidates are nominated with details of their achievements and supporting evidence.
Eligible candidates are evaluated against the Awards’ selection criteria and the requirements of their respective categories.
Claims, achievements and relevant professional records are verified before final consideration.
The designated judging panel assesses candidates against the criteria and recommends honourees for final approval.
Our Selection Criteria
Candidates are assessed on five key considerations:
- Achievement: Demonstrable accomplishments in their field.
- Impact: Measurable contributions to people, communities, industries or institutions.
- Leadership: Evidence of initiative, influence and meaningful contribution.
- Integrity: Professional credibility and ethical conduct.
- Lasting Contribution: Sustainable value created through their work.
Our Commitment
Recognition is based on demonstrated achievement and supporting evidence, not nomination volume or public profile alone. Judges are expected to act impartially and disclose conflicts of interest.
An African Achievers Award celebrates leadership, achievement and contributions that advance Africa’s progress.
